The Louis H. Stumberg Venture Competition is a multi-part competition awarding a $25,000 grand prize to Trinity student entrepreneurs.
Join us for this momentous occasion as we reflect on a decade of innovation, creativity, and collaboration. The Louis H. Stumberg Venture Competition is a multi-part competition. Hosted every spring and fall, each cohort of students has an opportunity to compete for a chance to win mentorship and funding for their startup. Of the teams that competed in the Stumberg Seed Round, five won $5,000 in seed funding for their venture and an opportunity to participate in the Trinity Accelerator. Four teams will compete again in the Final Round for the $25,000 grand prize. Both the San Antonio Community and the Trinity Community are encouraged to join us in person.
Date: Tuesday, October 14, 2025. 4:30 – 7:30 pm

Event Timeline
4:30 pm – Check-in
5:00 pm – Welcome remarks and program begins
6:45 pm – Winner announced and reception begins
7:30 pm – Event Concludes
Parking is free and available in the Alamo Stadium parking lot across the street. There will be wayfinding signs that lead to the event venue. Additional parking is available in the Laurie Auditorium Parking Lot – Orange Level. (Refer to the attached map)

Divvy – Sam Cohen, Aiden Seibel, Khoi Tran. Divvy is a multiplatform app that solves the pains of group expenses. Effortlessly split bills, transparently track payments, and securely send money with peer-to-peer transactions. Just scan a receipt, and the app calculates who owes what, eliminating guesswork and awkward reminders.
HandiDoor – Xadrian Huerta, Nathaniel Troxel. DoorLink is a smart door hinge that allows automated door control through a smartphone. Its compact design installs easily without modifying the door, offering a simple way to enhance home security and accessibility. By blending technology with convenience, Door Link brings effortless automation to everyday life.
Madhouse Game – Claire Carpenter, Graycen Hall. Madhouse Game’s mission is to provide educational yet engaging science-themed games for curious and strategic people no matter their educational background. By showcasing a diverse range of real-world scientists the game encourages players to see science as an open and inclusive field.
VirtU – Bich-Ly Nguyen, Gabriela Nieraeth. VirtU offers an interactive, virtual campus experience that lets students explore university buildings, labs, and student spaces in a 3D, gamified way. With real student insights and mini interactive projects, users can engage with academic life before ever stepping on campus, making college exploration more immersive, informed, and fun.
